Getting rich quick, although appealing, is rather unrealistic. It’s extremely rare to find overnight wealth, but not as rare to finding this wealth through accumulation.

Patience is a human characteristic that many of us struggle with in numerous aspects of our lives. Whether it’s being stuck in rush hour traffic, standing in line for lunch, or waiting for that big moment when our career takes off, patience takes work.

Just like we cannot skip to the front of the line while waiting to order lunch, no matter how starving we are, we also cannot typically skip from having no savings to being a millionaire, no matter how much we want to be wealthy. This is not how the process of saving and investing works in a typical case.

Patience is a key factor in growing your wealth. After waiting in line, we will finally get to indulge in that big juicy hamburger, and after saving and investing our money throughout our lifetime, we will get to reap the rewards of having saved smart and invested wisely.

Patience pays off. The end result will be worth the time spent working your way up to your goals.
